Biography

Alex Sánchez de Orduña was born in León (Spain) in 1993 and since a very young age he had an unquestionable interest in the world of music and, especially, in drums. He started taking drum lessons at the age of 7 at the Municipal School of Dance, Music and Performing Arts in León with the teacher, Ángel González. Within this school, he began his career on the stage at the age of 11, having performed and being finalist in the “Veo Veo” awards both in 2003 and 2004.

In 2009, he formed the band “Speedway” with which he began to gain some visibility in the musical circle from his hometown and was finalist in 2010 in the first “Musicaula” band contest. After the dissolution of “Speedway”, Alex played as session drummer in some different bands from León until he came across “Katarsis” in 2016, a band based in Palencia, and recorded his first studio works, "Camino a la razón" and "Odisea" in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

At the end of 2018, he decided to move to Dublin, seeking new experiences and new musical horizons, and additionally, he was admitted to study an HND in Contemporary Music and Performance in Ballyfermont College of Further Education. There, he started playing with the local band “Elevation falls”, playing all over Ireland. In 2019, they recorded "Haetfull attraction", a single which takes them on tour to Germany and England. Nowadays, he continues working with “Elevation falls” and joined the Irish pop band “Oh Bryan” with whom he is currently touring through Ireland.

PRIVATE DRUMS LESSONS IN DUBLIN

Now it's easier than ever to learn to play the drums. With the face-to-face lessons, you will work up to a maximum of two hours in my studio, in the centre of Dublin, where we will work on a specialised curriculum for your needs and distributed by level. You will learn to read and write music in a comfortable and simple way.
You set your own limits and needs.

ONLINE DRUMS LESSONS

If you live far from dublin or in a different country don't worry, you just need a computer, an internet connection and a Skype account to be able to connect and study with me. Everything we will learn in class will be sent to you by email so you can study comfortably from your room or studio. .

RECORDING SESSIONS

If you need a professional drum player to record your next work, I’m here for you. You just need to send me your ideas, with or without the drums track. We will then set a date to start recording at your studio.

Or, if you don’t have access to a recording studio or you don’t live in Dublin, we can record the tracks online from my studio in Dublin.

Alex Sanchez has been in the rock band ‘Elevation Falls’ since 2018 as a drummer, and has been a very hard worker, willing to improve his input in any way he can, and always available when needed for gigs or rehearsal.
